18. I am taking this math class because it is required by arts and sciences department—math is okay, but I haven’t taken a math class in a long time which is why I am taking the most basic course.

20. In this class I hope to learn more about word problems, which I am really bad at.
21. Anything else: I like math but I am a little terrified of math at this point since I have not used it in so long; I would like to be able to work in an environment that is open and encourages a lot of questions and checking for understanding.

  3. i love alicia keys, too! she is an amazing songwriter and kicks butt on the piano! i hope that this class is the right fit for you to improve your confidence in math. =]
